A new food truck will hit Dewey Square, near South Station, on Friday. But those who stand in line hoping for a taco or a cupcake will be sorely disappointed.
The truck is a marketing vehicle - pun intended - for the new co-op health insurer, Minuteman Health. Minuteman was launched by Tufts Medical Center and for-profit hospital system Vanguard Health Systems, which was recently acquired by Tenet Health.
The bright-orange truck will be handing out healthy snacks like apple chips, brochures about the new health insurer and swag with the Minuteman logo, such as water bottles. The PR campaign will also include TV, radio, and billboards on highways entering and leaving Boston and Worcester, as well as on highways in Stoneham, New Bedford and Wrentham.
